molto bene, grazie

honeymoon vibrance

By the time most of you first see this photograph, we will be in Italy, on our honeymoon. Walking through the Umbrian countryside, eating prosciutto, laughing in Rome? Who knows. We just know we’ll feel alive and in love, as vibrant as this dish was in the mouth.

There will be stories, and adventures, and photographs galore. We both know that how we perceive food will probably shift after this.

But mostly, we are so looking forward to the chance to spend 11 days together, with nothing to do but be with each other. This may never come again. We’re going to eat it up.

Feel free to leave comments, but i won’t be publishing them until we return. We’re going without email and cell phones. We’re turning off all the technology except our mouths, the camera, and pens.

i can’t wait.

We’ll see you in a few weeks, everyone.

Ciao.

I love to visit your site; it’s a little self-serving and very vicarious, but I feel like I’m enjoying and experiencing whatever you are. So, thanks for the vacation!

Good for you, who wants technology on a honeymoon? My husband had his cell phone on during his two weeks of vacation/paternity leave…boss called EVERY DAY. Horrid.

    Shauna,

I am so glad you are leaving technology at home. I hope you and the Chef enjoyed your honeymoon. So happy for the both of you.

Hope you are enjoying your trip! I’m very excited to have found your blog. In August I was very sick and the MD thought I might have celiac disease. Turned out I had an inflamed stomach. However, after being on a gluten-free diet for over a month I’ve decided I’m going to stick to a lot of gluten free foods and meals. I feel better overall since I made the change. I’m glad to see all your recipes. I dont cook, however my fiance loves to!

    Hello.
I guess I just found your blog after my honeymoon and while you are in yours.
I am already a fan of your blog and even though I’m not allergic to gluten I am trying the Lemon cookies this weekend.

Lots of love and happyness for you both (don’t mind my orthography, but I am Portuguese).

Your blog made me remember why I started mine. So I will be posting more last minute/ lefties recepies.

and now I see you are in media blackout on honeymoon bliss – I can only imagine the comments when you get back.
thanks for all the wonderful info over the years – from another gluten free girl, Emily.
