molto bene, grazie

By the time most of you first see this photograph, we will be in Italy, on our honeymoon. Walking through the Umbrian countryside, eating prosciutto, laughing in Rome? Who knows. We just know we’ll feel alive and in love, as vibrant as this dish was in the mouth.

There will be stories, and adventures, and photographs galore. We both know that how we perceive food will probably shift after this.

But mostly, we are so looking forward to the chance to spend 11 days together, with nothing to do but be with each other. This may never come again. We’re going to eat it up.

Feel free to leave comments, but i won’t be publishing them until we return. We’re going without email and cell phones. We’re turning off all the technology except our mouths, the camera, and pens.

i can’t wait.
